Alignment (optional)

Alignment (AL) is a convenient label to describe a character’s loyalties to those around him. There are three Alignments:

• Lawful: Primary loyalty is to others; capable of self-serving acts, but not at the expense of other people (especially those in need).
• Neutral: Primary loyalty is to close or personal groups (e.g., family, friends, faction, religion, racial type); capable of self-serving acts, but not at the expense of personal groups.
• Chaotic: Primary loyalty is to self; capable of serving others, but only to further their personal agenda.

Alignment is completely optional—if you find it restrictive or unrealistic for your setting, feel free to ignore it.
